Narmer First King of Unified Egypt


Name: Narmer (Mernar, n'r mr)
Parents: Scorpion II (possible but still uncertain)
Consort: Neithhotep (no evidence of marrying princess from upper Egypt)
Children: Hor-Aha (successor)
Reign: circa 3150-3100 BC
Burial: Chambers B17 and B18, Umm el-Qa'ab

He unified the Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt and become the first king of unified Egypt and Namer reigned over unified Egypt 3150-3100 BC. Narmer's name consists of the hieroglyphs for a catfish (n'r) and a chisel (mr), he was a successor of King Ka of Upper Egypt.
